Este ca o paine din faina de porumb/malai alba sau galbena (diferita de amidonul de porumb sau de malaiul obisnuit).
Este o gustare foarte populara in Venezuela si in Columbia.

Poate fi servita si la micul dejun, umpluta cu branza sau carne sau la cina (tostada).

3/4 de cana cu apa calda

Mod de preparare:
Varsati faina intr-un castron adanc.. Puneti sarea si amestecati.
Incalziti apa cu untul taiat bucatele la microunde.
Varsati treptat apa peste faina, amestecand cu mana pana obtineti un aluat lipicios.

Luati o bila de aluat, presati-o in palma si puneti branza la mijloc.
Inchideti marginile formand din nou o bila si apasati-o in forma de chiftea.
Faceti la fel cu tot aluatul.
Presarati peste ele piper, boia si cimbru.
Puneti-le la prajit in tr-o tigaie in uleiul incins - 3 minute pe fiecare parte.
